A strong correla�on between the lead levels in a person's blood and the lead present on their hands was demonstrated. Workers in the study group who had high levels of skin contamina�on also had the highest blood lead levels. The effect of personal hygiene on blood lead levels was measured by researchers at a lead processing facility¹ using D-Wipe Towels. The results were published in the peer reviewed American Industrial Hygiene Journal documen�ng the cri�cal importance of personal hygiene in the control of exposure to metal dusts.
